I love helping people and I have found that I excel at helping people achieve their real estate goals! My real estate journey started in 2006 when I purchased my first home in Playa Vista. It was a crazy time in real estate, just a few years before the mortgage crisis and the eventual meltdown of home values. Playa Vista was a new neighborhood at that time so many of the homeowners had very little equity, if any, when prices started coming down. Most people in the neighborhood found themselves owing much more than their home was worth, including me. As a result, there were a lot of foreclosures and short sales in Playa Vista. I became certified in short sales and started helping people avoid foreclosure. I did this by helping homeowners get the banks to modify their loans or negotiate with the banks to allow a short sale on properties. I was one of the only Realtors in the area that dug in and specialized in short sales so many other realtors hired me to help them negotiate with the banks as well. During this time I realized how much I truly enjoyed helping people, even during a difficult time. Because of my efforts I was fortunate to build a reputation as a hard working, successful, and conscientious real estate agent. As the world came out of the mortgage crisis my business started to grow and it has continued to grow over the years. From 2006 to now I have become the #1 real estate agent in Playa Vista and have maintained this status since 2019. Beginning in 2018 I started a real estate team, Team Tami, that has allowed me to expand into Playa del Rey, Westchester and other neighboring areas.
